Title
Sr. Technical Writer
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Writer for our Fitchburg, WI office that can create and revise technical and marketing documents for our Takara Bio brand products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
| » | Writes and edits technical and marketing materials including but not limited to technical manuals, scientific or technical articles, news releases, print and web catalog entries, flyers and brochures, and other advertising and promotional materials |
| » | Coordinates and tracks projects through multiple revisions with meticulous attention to detail and documentation of process |
| » | Integrates various sources of information into a uniform style and language |
| » | Assists in developing documentation for instructional, descriptive, reference and/or informational purposes |
| » | Works with initiators to rewrite, clarify, or reconstruct documents |
| » | Develops unique approaches, procedures, and methods to current processes or procedures |
Technical Duties and Responsibilities
| » | Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other writers or personnel |
| » | Produce or arrange for illustrations, charts, and photographs to be included in publications |
| » | Understand the needs of the target audience |
| » | Prepare rough drafts of material for review by collaborators |
| » | Work independently and without a high level of supervision |
| » | Edit and revise materials prepared by other writers or personnel |
| » | Manage medium size to large projects with collaborators from both within and outside US locations |
| » | Prepare layout of material for publication |
| » | Prepare rough drafts of the publication for review with the project staff and/or customers |
| » | Understands broad strategic objectives and contributes to them |
| » | Provides technical training in verbal and written form |
Education Requirement
BS, MS, PhD. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related Life Science
Experience Requirement
A minimum of 8–12 years experience in a related area or equivalent combination of education/ experience is required
